PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: 1 July 2025

This site is owned and operated by Uncommon Man Pty Ltd (ACN: 675 820 649). Our head office is located at 33 Wonderland Tce, Mount Martha, VIC 3934. Your privacy on the Internet is of the utmost importance to us. At Uncommon Man Pty Ltd, we want to make your experience online both satisfying and safe. Because we gather certain types of information about our users, we believe you should fully understand our policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Gather and Track

Uncommon Man Pty Ltd gathers two types of information about users. The first is information that users provide voluntarily through submissions. These include subscriptions to our electronic newsletters, participation in message boards or forums, forwarding content to a friend, and participation in polls and surveys. The second is information we gather through aggregated tracking, derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. This aggregated data helps us better tailor our content to meet users’ needs and helps our advertisers and sponsors understand the demographics and preferences of our audience.

Because Uncommon Man Pty Ltd derives its revenue in part from sponsorships and advertising, providing such aggregated demographic data is essential to keeping parts of our service free to users. Under no circumstances does Uncommon Man Pty Ltd divulge any information about an individual user to a third party.

Voluntary Information Submission

We offer several services that require the voluntary submission of personal information by users. This includes our electronic newsletters, which are free and sent to users who subscribe by providing their email address. Users can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in every newsletter, which leads to a subscription management page. Newsletter sign-up is also available during other site interactions, such as account registration or download of resources.

For users who wish to participate in our message boards and forums, separate registration is required. This is free of charge and allows users to post and engage with the community. During registration, users must provide a username, password, and email address. Additionally, users may choose to use our “Email this to a friend” feature. When doing so, the user must supply their own email address and that of the recipient. This information is used only to facilitate the sharing of content and is not stored or reused for any other purpose.

We may also offer interactive polls and surveys from time to time. These are designed to help users easily share their opinions and see what others think on certain topics. Responses are aggregated and cannot be tied back to individual users. For polls, we may use tagging mechanisms to prevent users from voting multiple times, but this tag is not linked to any personal data.

Occasionally, we may conduct user surveys to help us better tailor our content. These surveys may ask for demographic information, and the results may be shared with advertisers or sponsors in aggregate form only. We never share specific or personally identifiable information collected from surveys.

Children’s Privacy

In compliance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without verified parental consent.

Usage Tracking

Uncommon Man Pty Ltd tracks user traffic patterns throughout all of our sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We analyse overall site performance by reviewing which pages are accessed and how users navigate, but we do not track or store what any specific user reads. This information helps us understand what our audience prefers and allows us to continually improve our services and content delivery.

Additionally, we collect browser-specific details such as domain name, browser type, MIME type, and other session-related information. We may also track and catalogue the search terms entered into our on-site search function to identify popular topics. These searches are not linked to individual users.

Cookies

We may place a small text file known as a “cookie” in your browser files. A cookie itself does not contain personal information but may be tied to information you have specifically and knowingly provided. Cookies cannot read data off your hard drive or interact with other cookies placed by other websites. Cookies allow us to relate your site usage to your activity on our site to enhance your experience.

We use cookies to track traffic patterns and site engagement. For example, cookies help us determine which areas of the site are popular and which areas require improvement. Our advertising system may also deliver one-time cookies to track ad impressions and click rates, but again, these are not tied to personally identifiable information.

You have the option to turn off cookies in your browser settings. You may also set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies. While cookies are not required to use our website, certain interactive features such as message boards, polls, and surveys may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Use of Information

Uncommon Man Pty Ltd uses any information voluntarily provided by our users to enhance their experience across our digital properties. This includes offering personalised or interactive elements on the site and curating content based on audience interests and feedback.

We use the information you provide to send out newsletters, updates, and offers, and to enable participation in features like forums, polls, or community features. Email subscribers receive communications on a regular basis (depending on the list they join), with occasional special editions sent when relevant.

We never sell or share newsletter mailing lists with advertisers, sponsors, or partners. Tracking information is used solely to identify which areas of the site are most engaging to users — not what individual users are doing. We analyse aggregated search behaviour and usage patterns to understand what our users are most interested in and to help advertisers place relevant content accordingly. Because we don’t track individual users’ identities or behaviour, advertisers are never able to associate an ad impression or click with a specific person.

We will not disclose any personally identifiable information about an individual user unless required to do so by law or legal process, or when necessary to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Security

Uncommon Man Pty Ltd operates secure data networks protected by industry-standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security policies are reviewed and updated regularly. Access to your personal information is restricted to authorised team members who require it for support or operational purposes.

Opt-Out Policy

We give users full control over their interactions with us. You can opt out of email communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found in every message. You can choose not to register for forums or newsletters, and you can browse the public areas of the site without ever submitting personal information.

If you wish to delete your personal data from our system entirely, you can make a request by emailing privacy@uncommonman.com.au at any time.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is outlined in your individual client agreement. Unless otherwise stated in your contract, refunds are discretionary and provided in accordance with Australian consumer law. If you believe you’re entitled to a refund, please reach out to support@uncommonman.com.au with your request.

Delivery Policy

Upon payment or sign-up, users will receive immediate email confirmation and instructions to access purchased programs or digital products. Most digital resources are delivered instantly. If you do not receive access as expected, please contact us for immediate support.

Use of The Tool Box App

If you also use The Tool Box — our mobile app that supports your coaching journey — additional privacy practices apply. These cover journaling, Reps tracking, emotional check-ins, tool usage, and community engagement.

App data is governed by our App Privacy Policy and App Terms & Conditions, which can be accessed here:

The app is built on secure platforms including Stripe, Firebase, and Mixpanel. All in-app data is encrypted, never sold, and can be deleted at your request.

Policy Updates

We reserve the right to update this policy as needed. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through website notifications.
